Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Hooklet, a webhook capture and replay service operated by 21 Sierra ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

The service

Hooklet provides unique URLs that capture incoming HTTP requests, stores them, and lets you inspect and replay them to destinations you specify. We provide this service on a subscription basis with the plan tiers and limits described on the pricing page.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're also responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at support@hooklet.dev immediately.

You must provide a valid email address. One person may not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.

Acceptable use

You may use Hooklet for lawful purposes related to developing, testing, and debugging software integrations. You may not use Hooklet to:

• Capture, store, or process data in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights
• Receive or store sensitive personal data (health records, financial account numbers, government IDs) unless you've taken appropriate steps to ensure it's adequately protected
• Conduct attacks, scans, or probes against third-party systems via the replay feature
• Resell or white-label the service without our written permission
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent rate limits, or abuse the infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

Webhook data

You own the data captured by your endpoints. We store it to provide the service and delete it automatically per your plan's retention window. We do not read, sell, or share your webhook data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Be mindful of what data you route through Hooklet. If a webhook contains sensitive information (API keys, personal data, payment details), you're responsible for handling it appropriately. Don't use Hooklet as a permanent data store for sensitive information.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to your paid plan features until that date and we do not provide partial-month refunds.

If a payment fails, we'll retry a few times before suspending your account. We'll notify you by email if this happens.

We may change plan pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes apply at your next renewal after the notice period.

Service availability

We aim to keep Hooklet available and reliable but don't guarantee any specific uptime. Hooklet is a developer tool, not critical infrastructure — plan accordingly. We're not liable for losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

We perform backups but they're not a substitute for your own copies of important data. Captured webhook data is ephemeral by design and subject to automatic deletion per your plan's retention window.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 21 Sierra's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of Hooklet is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.

Hooklet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Termination

You can close your account at any time by contacting support@hooklet.dev. We'll delete your data within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that are used for abuse, or in cases of non-payment. We'll give reasonable notice where possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you by email for material changes and update the effective date above. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
